Actblue in Oak Creek, Wisconsin - Double Biller

1.6
Details
3 separate times in a year I have made one time donation to a particular campaign. The Second and Third time I was very very careful , I refused to "Tip" Act Blue and they double charges my debt card. On the Third time I caught it already charging and closed my browser(Foxfire), But 5 mins later I received a emailed receipt. I imeadly emailed ActBlue back complaining, and they imeadly issued a answer saying I will be returned in 2 to 3 days, which has happen 2 times in the past. Next time I send a check. What was even stranger was my 1st donation to a different campaign had no problems

Actblue in Scottsdale, Arizona - Never ending donations

After doing a one time donation, they continued to use my credit card. But always different amounts and different dates. There was no rime or reason, just theft. They would not refund me the $1000+ they stole and AG's office has been useless.

Actblue spams your mailbox once they get your email

1.8
Details
After donating to a candidate via actblue, I started getting many emails daily from other democratic candidates. It takes time to go through and "unsubscribe" to emails I never subscribed to. Only solution so far is to avoid donating to Democrats since they all use this spam machine to get my email. I wonder if that is the desired effect? To punish donators with spam so that they stop donating?

I was trying to donate $2.50 and they took out $250.00!! They still haven't called me back or corrected it. I contacted my bank and reported it , I think they are trying to steal from me.

I inadvertently was caught in a recurring contribution. Since it was a large one, it added up considerably . It took some digging to get to the right person online, but they did refund all of the money .

No charity should make it this difficult to end paying them. I’ve tried for months. It’s harder than brain surgery. I still like their cause, but now feel like this particular organization peddles more than they do. Otherwise they wouldn’t try to trap people into...

The first time they registered a one-time payment as recurring, I caught it quickly and they corrected it. I recently found they had turned another intended one-time payment into a monthly donation, and I had thus given 3x as much as I planned to a candidate. (I had...

This is the second time this has happened to me as well. This second time I specifically made sure that I did not agree to a recurring donation and it still showed up as a recurring donation on the email receipt.

Actblue in Somerville, Massachusetts - Making charges on my card without permission

2.0
Details
I complete numerous petitions everyday, and unbeknownst to me some of these petitions send a message to ActBlue to I am contributing when any reality I am NOT. The biggest guilty party of this is the Senate Majority PAC. Each time this has happened I have immediately contacted ActBlue to demand that the charge be reversed. They have done this. The last time that a charge was put on my CC it was for $250, so I immediately turned off my card since it takes 2 to 3 business days for the charge to be reversed. I have emailed ActBlue to remove my information from their database as I did NOT give them permission to save my information when I made small contributions to the Hillary campaign. I also STRONGLY recommended to them that they verify that the CC is to be charged just like all websites that I shop on. This would end the complaints against them. I have not had a response to that email yet.
