Actblue - Frustrated
You have several times charged my account monthly with a reoccurring charge. I contributed only one time charges. This has happened before. So I would like to cancel any further debit of contribution and I will no longer support actblue. Please do this as I don't feel that I want to go through the website and the hassle of eliminating this myself when you can do it.

Actblue in Scottsdale, Arizona - Never ending donations
After doing a one time donation, they continued to use my credit card. But always different amounts and different dates. There was no rime or reason, just theft. They would not refund me the $1000+ they stole and AG's office has been useless.

Actblue Donation
Every time I try to contribute to a candidate through the ActBlue site, it won’t take my donation because I only have a mailing address with a letter, I.e. “ P. O. Box Z”.

Actblue in Silver Spring, Maryland - Donation errors
I created act blue acct to donate to certain candidate. But as soon as you sign in, without clicking on any donation button, they automatically charge your account. This has happened 3 times. I signed in today to delete my cc info & was automatically charged again. They better do something about this because the candidates are the ones missing out.

Actblue spams your mailbox once they get your email
After donating to a candidate via actblue, I started getting many emails daily from other democratic candidates. It takes time to go through and "unsubscribe" to emails I never subscribed to. Only solution so far is to avoid donating to Democrats since they all use this spam machine to get my email. I wonder if that is the desired effect? To punish donators with spam so that they stop donating?

Actblue - Did Not Authorize Donation.
On July 18 I made a $19 donation to Actblue. Almost two weeks later I received an email thanking me for a $25 dollar donation I never authorized. I've tried calling, no one answers. I leave messages, no one gets back to me. I went to their site and was told the donation was cancelled. But according to my credit card statement that's not true. I will never donate to Actblue again. And one way or another I'm getting my money back. They are not getting away with this.

I got my money back!

Once I contributed $25 to a political cause. I was careful to make sure that this was a one-time contribution. About 2 weeks later I noticed they withdrew over$200 from my account! AND the check box of a monthly "contribution" was selected - I KNOW...

ActBlue made an unauthorized charge of $2800 to credit card
Incredibly unprofessional, unethical and poorly built site! I have never experienced anything this before! My son made a $10 donation using ActBlue, they stored the credit card number on his account. Two weeks later a new charge of $2800 pops up on the credit card and we get an email thanking my son for his donation. I discovered the credit card stored on their site an deleted it, but am doubtful after reading others stories, this will be effective. I have asked them to reverse the charge, if that does not happen I will dispute it with the card company.

Actblue - Fraudulently charged my card
I made a one-time donation to a campaign -- and that was indeed listed as a "one time donation" on Actblue's receipt. A month later, I was charged for another "one time donation" more than twice the original amount. I had to raise *** and high water to get the charge reversed, including contacting Amex, the FEC, the candidate's campaign finance manager and basically tweeting all day on the Actblue twitter feed that this was criminal behavior. They claim to have refunded the charge, still don't see it. Opened a dispute and red-flagged them with my credit card company.

You got lucky. Who knows where any money you fork over to this group would eventually wind up.
Never a good idea to give money to an umbrella organization like this because you really have no idea to whom they give the money to, or what their "take" is, etc. Similar to someone giving money to The Red Cross because you see victims of a disaster on the telly and, for some reason want to "help" them.
Makes you feel good, but again, follow where the money goes. You will learn this in life eventually.
