ecause there is not enough room here to explain the backstories of each event I've experienced, with Act Blue I'll just touch on the Inadequate Customer Care Services provided, the apparent Lack of Ability when handling a customer's money, Inability in most areas actually are exhibited. They ignore their customers.
They overcharge, then when asked to correct and remove those overcharges, they don't. I removed all of my saved Credit Cards from their site two weeks ago because of the continual mishandling of my money. In checking my card status today, I found my credit cards had been all added Back on Their Site Without My Consent! In my opinion, this is the worst transgression of all.
I removed every one of them from their site again today. I will continue to check this matter each day & my bank statements until I'm certain that has not been repeated. They give total disregard to Which of your credit cards YOU prefer to use when giving a contribution, often times they use a different one than I wanted to use, messing up my personal accounting in doing so. I Rarely receive receipts when I ask for them.
There is so Much More but in conclusion, I find their company to be unprofessional, inconsiderate, unkind, and in general all things a business with one~on~one customer care should NOT be. I tried to reach them again just before sharing this about my credit cards being added back to their site without my consent, etc. I was directed to a site on the Act Blue Website where I could send an "email" to them. At that point, I began to feel hopeful that I would finally be helped, or at least could connect with a person who could fix my situations.
But before I could write, they asked which of my email addresses I wanted to use for this communication. One is active and one is an old inactive account unused for many years. I clicked on my active email address that I wanted to use. When clicked, it went right to the old unused account.
I tried again, however with each attempt it would Only write on the Unused inactive account, but would Not go to my active account At All. I guess they really didn't want to help me, once again. So I came here to see if anyone here could relate to the ongoing problems I am continually having with this company. If Maybe Others who could relate and would at least "hear this".
I found I am not alone on this frustrating merry-go-round of continual errors. I wish you all luck!

Multiple charges on credit card
"I guess you are having a hard time understanding my plain English and prefer to answer with canned answers.
My email said I have made numerous donations to causes through ActBlu and have not received anything other than an item charge on my credit card statement which gives, next to ActBlu's name, paypal as the billing contact. Calling paypal, I am told that this is all they have on ActBlu's charge.
I have not received notice that I donated to such and such campaign at the time I clicked on the Donate button, nor any time after.
I'm assuming my donations are like donations made to Red Cross during Katrina, that my donations go to a general operating fund and not necessarily the issue which caused me to make a donation.
I am assuming, since you don't care to make donations transparent, that you are like the SPCA where a huge chunk of your budget is going to pay staffing and fundraisers, rather than the cause itself.
Pissed off Consumer who finds ActBlu to be a waste of time, and therefore has decided to stop making donations"

I had been using Act Blue for express donations for years and then I suddenly had to sign in with my email address and password. All set now.
